So let me begin by saying good afternoon my friends and thank you for joining me on this crazy ride that I call my life I've gotten a few negative comments about yesterday's blog but as a whole I've got a lot of thanks and a lot of bravery and strength comments and just a lot of great comments so thank you again for that. Moving right along I failed to include what happened to me last year and what has happened to me since then. But before I begin I just would hope that you would listen with an open mind or read rather and know that my beliefs are mine and I would hope that people would respect that just like your beliefs are your beliefs and I totally respect that.
So last March was kind of a crazy train. I came back from New York in January (which is another thing you didn't know. I spent six months there and that was enough for me. But that story will be in a later blog.) I ended up with an abscess on my upper leg. I didn't want to whine about my problems or about this thing on my leg so I let it go. Well around the middle of March it had gotten to the point where it was unbearable. Any time anything rubbed on it I just wanted to cry out in pain so I finally gave in and told my mom. She was pissed that I let it go so long and that I didn't tell her so up to the ER we went. It was just her and I. My doctor ended up being some med student and I was put out in the hallway because it was so overcrowded. After he examined me he said that they were probably going to keep me for a few more hours and they were going to cut it drain it. He ordered a CT with IV contrast just to make sure that there wasn't anything else going on. So I told him that was fine and I told my mom to go back to the house for a couple hours and I'd call her when I was done. So that's what she did. I went down to take the test and answered the usual questions based around the chance of pregnancy. "Are you pregnant?" "No." "When was your last period?" After that, the next question was "Have you ever had this procedure before?" Well me back in the day Miss hypochondriac replied "I've had in my life probably twenty CT scans with IV contrast." I was a pro. I then educated him on what happens... "I'm going to go in the machine the iv is going to run the dye and I'm going to feel like I'm pissing my pants whatever. Oh and don't worry I'll hold still until you tell me I can move. "
