SEALED SHUT PART TWO

Looking down at the phone I panicked, for two reasons. One, I was terribly afraid and shocked by what had just happened. I couldn't understand how someone who claimed to love me could hurt me. Secondly, I didn't know what to say to the 911 operator. Should I tell them what was wrong or just play it off as an accident? I was torn as crazy as that sounds. I was terrified that he would hurt me again but yet I didn't wanna say anything and have him taken away from me. All he needed was to cool down but I knew they would take him to jail. I answered the phone trying to sound calm but my voice was trembling terribly. When the 911 operator asked if I was okay, I quickly replied yes and told her that I didn't need assistance. She didn't buy it and told me the police had already been dispatched.
As I was speaking to her I heard him banging on my outside bedroom door. I screamed for him to leave and to leave me alone as he pleaded and begged for me to let him inside. Then he moved to my window telling me how sorry he was and to please let him in so we could talk. At first, I told him no but in fear that my neighbors would hear him, I opened the door and let him inside. I hung up with the operator and just then I heard a knock at the door. Terrified and in pain I approached the door and was greeted with the same officer that had come when I got robbed. It was pouring outside so I told him to come in. He shined his bright ass light right in my face asking me if I was okay. And since I make it a point not to be dishonest I put my head to the ground and said yes. My face though told another story, red from my ear to my mouth and my lip was busted and bloody. He asked if we could go to the back of the house and talk. I shook my yes yes and thought for sure I was going to spend the night in jail for telling him I was ok. We spoke briefly then he asked if we could go back inside. He asked if he was inside and at that point, I honestly didn't know. I had told him to run but it was raining. We walked through the house while the officer opened doors and sure enough when he opened the closet where he was hiding. Instantly he was commanded to come out. With a shitty ass grin, he came out and was handcuffed and told he was being detained and not arrested. I was told to stay inside and yelled at for not being truthful of his whereabouts. Honestly, I didn't know though. He commanded me to stay inside and took B outside to talk. I could hear them as I sat on my bed and was so upset when I heard him tell them that I had swung at him and he was blocking me. Blaming me for his actions to save his own ass. Unbelievable. Even though my mouth provoked him he came at me. And my hands were too preoccupied clenching the phone as he tried to take off of me to even think about hitting him.
